Cleveland getting Thomas and Quinn in the first round is pretty skillful. Giving their 2nd round pick today and their 1st round next year is a stiff price, but it should work out. Did anyone see Miami passing on this guy?? Interesting to see how that plays out over the next 1-5 years for both teams. Glad the "Quinn deathwatch" is finally over.
So far, best move of this draft goes to the Browns. Worst pick, the dolphins with Ginn...that pick is still baffling.
Look for the Chiefs to pick either Staley or Gubbs. Edit: I have to throw Posluszny into the mix. The Chiefs would rather have had a CB, but with the best gone they will go for the best talent that's available. Posluszny must be looking good to them about now. And Alan Branch is still out there. He may be the best of the lot. I would put Grubbs last in line. But Staley is still looking good.
I have to admit that it's funny how quickly the "talking heads" flip flop on Quinn now that he is finally off the board. When the Browns passed the first time, these guys ripped him apart about his lack of real ability. Universally they were surprised by Miami(me too), but now that he is picked by Cleveland at #22, back to "Quinn has incredible accuracy", blah, blah. Maybe they can shut up about him now, and hopefully we won't have to endure any more of Quinn's "Campaign for ME" whining in the news. I think the NFL has spoken.
Does anyone know when was the last time LSU had three players go in the first round, and who were they?
darn Cheifs, we had only four picks to go before the saints could of gotten Bowe, that sucks. But, hey he will be playing with a fellow LSU'er in Eddie K. SO good luck Bowe
