    None of us should be eating deep fried bread dipped in pure sugar. Nothing but fat and carbs, it's a heart attack with a hole in the middle.

    I agree with MLU. KK's are so freaking sweet that they hurt my teeth. In BR, the best donuts are Mary Lee's glazed when they are hot. I used to be able to eat about 6. As I've aged, 2 is my limit, but usually only have one.

    i dont eat donuts but to say krispy kremes taste like shit is a good example how anything you say on the internet will get shit on. its best not to claim anything, except that mlu is a miserable douche. but beignets are spectacular.

    Shipley's is definitely up there. Can't forget about Haskell's either. Spent many a nights waiting for them to open at 1am before feasting on freshly made donuts

    When I was a kid, I couldn't stand donuts. These days, I can pretty much take them or leave them. Beignets are incredible, though.

    I live about 100 yards from the door of a Dunkin Donuts, so whenever my girls have a sleepover, that will be for breakfast. I don't like their donuts at all; they aren't nearly as good as the locally-owned Chinese shops around here.
