Need to work the short passing game more. RPOs and slants will keep the safeties honest.

I need to watch for it but its hard without coaches film, but I think teams are bracketing him fairly often. Miami did it at least twice that I noticed so I'm sure its happening more often. With other guys making plays it should open him up a bit.

He has it where it counts....above the shoulders! When was the last QBs we had smart enough to check out of a play? That long TD run against SE was all Jeaux, he saw the blitz & moved the blocking scheme. If the o line protects he will be the best we’ve had in a long while. He still needs a little touch on the long ball but only playing time will fix that. I think some of those overthrows were intentional because the window was too tight. More of a throw away.

He is very inconsistent. 15-34 isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire, but when it counted he delivered so.... I don’t know, jury is still out for me.

Not saying he isn’t a work in progress, but AU defense is pretty good.

They are, and I’m not judging his pressured throws but he made some really bad throws over the middle. That being said I’m not complaining. I think he is good and will get better.

He is by know means a Matt Flynn yet, but he could be with playing time. He has the QB IQ but needs playing time. Remember his last meaningful game before coming to LSU was high school. He got some snaps at OSU but nowhere near what he needed for him to shine in the SEC.

I just know that we are so starved for quarterback play that decent looks like all
    American to us sometimes.

Do you know number third/fourth down conversions? It seem like there were a lot of clutch conversions.
