1. Polls really shouldn't matter this time of year, but to the extent that they do, Oregon is making their claim to move up to #2 this week. They are up 35-0 at home against Arizona early in the 4th. Generally speaking, I think we are better than Oregon, but the pollsters may not see it that way, especially the AP. They'd probably like to see a Bama-Oregon matchup at this point. In fact, they'd probably prefer to see Oregon play a non-SEC team in the BCSNCG. I expect to see Oregon head-swelling this week if they move to #2, as if they beat us, or steam coming out of their heads if they don't. They won't be impressed with us beating The Barn on the road, never mind the fact that Oregon lost to that team 2 years removed themselves.
  2. After the way the OL looked tonight, I wish we had an extra bye week. We don't, but Towson will have to do.
  3. And THIS team ONE year removed.
  4. Oregon may jump us, but so what if they do. As Capt. Obvious would say, we control our own destiny.
  5. No question we are overrated. Alabama clearly the top team in the country. I expect we could struggle against Miss St., UF and Alabama. I expect us to finish conference play with two losses and go 10-2. A great year for most programs but not up to our expectations.
  6. You aren't concerned with South Carolina? That's the team whose best strength matches up against our most glaring weakness. Jadeveon Clowney will eat Josh D. up and spit him out.

  7. This.

    SEC football, plain and simple.
  8. The concern is if both FSU and the Ducks jumps us and go undefeated, we may get left out if we beat Bama and win the SECCG. The media would love that you know break the streak with out having to actually beat the SEC.
  9. I don't see that happening. Even if we slide to 4, assuming Bama stays 1, a win over them would move us back into the top 2. No way we are left out in that scenario.... BUT, I am sweating several games before Bama. I'm not sure how this team will respond on the road at Florida or even A&M. And, then of course, SoCar at home... sheeeesh. Hopefully, last night provided a wake up call of sorts.
  10. If the sports media has any concern whatsoever over credibility there's no way FSU stays ahead of LSU in that scenario. FSU's schedule is a joke with nothing but cupcakes between now and Florida, while we get the usual slew of Top 10/15 teams. Oregon going undefeated, however, would be for real.
