Wow. 17-0 at the half. And Stanford gets the ball again to start the 2nd half. If they keep these HUGE drives up then the the Oregon D is going to be too gassed to keep up in the second half. They ended with a 21 play drive to end the half. That is text book, Football 101, blocking and tackling at its best. Nothing fancy here but VERY impressive and extremely effective...
Smoke + Mirrors + Gimmicks = Oregon. I am sick to death of the no huddle, don't allow substitutions, dirty pool stuff. On the other hand, Stanford looks awesome playing their game.
Same story, different year. Everyone gets on Oregon's jock early in the season saying their offense is improved from last year. That offense has yet to score in the 3rd quarter. Physical football will always beat the spread if you control the clock and don't make mistakes.
