saban had never won a bowl before LSU allowed him to. Dude you have bad analogies. give more smiles a chance before hanging him. he's a character, quality coach. I think i was the only sabanfan in Louisiana before he came here....then again I like ex-NFL assistants or HC's and followed them pretty closely for wagering reasons to be honest. Anyhow Saban was known for not getting his teams up for (seemingly) meaningless games and often times his teams laid an egg/didnt show up. Similar to UAB/Ole Miss etc through his tenure. that was his biggest question mark??? I remember wanting him here even though he was never a candidate yet he contacted LSU....but then again, I have this great knack and insight when it comes to some things. I understand your apprehension yet it may be unwarranted. be patient, LSU is more than likely fine. My spider sensors are tingling. relax ramah. you'll make more betting on Less Smiles next year than you lost on Saban this year. You will be able to add to your whale collection. I can feel it!
Everyone, let's not forget that Saban finished LSU with a 3-2 bowl record. It's not like dominated the bowl world, he just won the big dance when it counted most. (I am not diminishing Saban's coaching at all. I'm just trying to point out that bowl records are meaningless... Carry on)
