i have not been watching the games, but are they going to hang on? sounds like the bullpen should be shot.
they are gonna hang on. they are doing like lots of good teams do when they have a lead. they let off the accelerator and fool around for a while. the cards did this last year and won the WS. same with the 2000 yanks. i would be worried if not for 2 things: 1. the phillies are truly terrible in the pitching dept. 2. the mets are playing FLA and WAS to end the season.
and finally, in literally the last baseball game ever to be played in RFK, the nats have managed to help a nigga out and and beat the phillies. the magic number is about to shrink again as the 'tropolitans are cooking the fish in miami.

it ok, things are under control. i went to the game last night and the out of town scoreboard was more interesting than the game, until the ninth. props to the bravos for beating the phils last night. the shea crowd broke out a tomahawk show in appreciation. i am so confident, that if the mets do not win the east, i will withdraw from this forum forever out of shame.
The Braves have Smoltz up tonight so that should help, but Tim and his flavor savor didnt do a whole lot last night so who knows. I bet ole Willie isnt sleeping very well right now.
i am smiling knowing that the braves have given up and are getting clobbered, further enhancing the Phillies chances to catch the mets.
