I looked at the list of commitments for LSU and it's a solid class. I do think it has great size and there appear to be several "athletes" in there which is always good. I think the Chauncey Aughire kid is going to be good down the road. His physique is impressive already. I noticed there are like 5 guys that are 6-6 and and two or three 6-4 and 6-5s.

Miles is a good recruiter. He only offers solid kids.

Who will be the big fish of this class?

There is a forum for recruiting. And I agree, this class is shaping up nicely.

I think the remaining 4-5 players that LSU lands will all come from rivals top 100 prospects.

The players we have at least somewhat of a chance at getting include:

    2. Julio Jones WR
    4. Darrell Scott RB
    10. Matt Patchan OL
    24. Authur Brown LB
    55. T.J. Bryant DB
    63. DaAndre Brown WR
    68. Chris Tolliver WR
    78. Joshua Jarboe WR
    87. Brandon Harris DB
    100. Chase Clement DE

My hunches are we get Tolliver and Clement. My hopes for the last 3 spots are Patchan, Brown and T.J. Bryant (mainly due to need).

Anybody have an idea what our signing cap will be? I have heard 25. With Odom being dismissed, I assume that number increases to 26.

LSU currently has only 1 player listed in the rivals top 100, Ryan Baker at #69. I still find this disturbing, given our success on the field this season, and so much national exposure. That could all change in the first week of February, when it all matters most.

My wish list is both Browns, Clement, Tolliver, and Bryant.

Id take Julio Jones and Darrell Scott off that list....JMHO

Patchan...no telling after his comments. Still think he is a thug.

Is there any room to back sign to '07?

Signing cap is 25. I hear we sign 27-28 kids with a couple not qualifying and gray shirts.

I also understand that Odom's scholly will go to a current walk on who earns it.

This should be in the recruiting forum...but since it isn't, I'll respond.

Patchan to UM? After what he said? No way. It's not that he's wrong...in fact, the COACHES probably loved it. But he has to PLAY with the very people he threw under the bus. They can't just replace ALL of them with Patchan.:thumb: Not only that, but there are other recruits that have commented after his comment, saying that they agree...he was "dead on".

your right....i just have a gut feeling he will still be a thug with the whole legacy stuff...and he doesnt seem the type to give a @#$@ what everyone else on the team thinks. dunno

i know it's not as bad...but remember RPs comments...guess it's kinda forgive and forget.

I don't remember verbatum RP's comments, but I think his problem was with Saban...not necessarily LSU. That situation handled itself, then Miles went and got him.

Or are you talking about his comments about winning Heismans and NC's?

Sometimes kids say dumb things. You achieve wisdom and tact with age.
