I'm not thrilled about this kid either. Hope he sticks with "the U".

  5. Re: RB Bryce Brown

    from the mentors website.

wouldnt have a problem with getting brown. as i didnt have a problem with this situation last year when it was his brother.

that said i'd guess this is nothing but a publicity stunt by the mentor to get his website/program out their and hes headed to UM.
  6. Re: RB Bryce Brown

Whats the trade off here for Les, I mean he could really concentrate on Lache or is he thinking "right now" for Brown. I think this kid may get scared by our depth. I Miami he plays right away. 2 of Miami running backs transfered after the past season and they have Craig Cooper and James, they picked up 1 running back who is probably not going to qualify. So I think he sticks with the U.
  7. Re: RB Bryce Brown

Yes but if the kid can look past one year. He'll only have Ford and Ridley (possible FB) to compete with. Murphy is probably going to remain a change of pace back.
  8. Re: RB Bryce Brown

This is what I think. The mentor can't draw attention to the situation without a little interest in other schools. A dollar to a dog turd says he ends up at UM in the end. The rest of this is just drama built by these guys.

I find it hilarious that everyone thinks we're so stacked at RB. Someone explain to me who we have. Charles Scott? Yeah, he had an okay year, but got shut down in a few games. Keiland? He hasn't shown the ability to carry the load and quite frankly has never really looked elusive. Richard Murphy? We all had high hopes but it isn't working out except as a bit of change of pace now and then. Michael Ford? He was great in high school, that's all we know. Steven Ridley? Same deal, who knows.

There's no way we can not go after a guy we can still get this year because we have two highly coveted out of state recruits on our board next year. It's very possible we get neither of them.
  9. Re: RB Bryce Brown

epic failure! Your post is invalid because of this statement.
A back who ran for over 1k in the SEC! I think he was 1 of 3or 4 guys that did that this season. He was shut down in 3 games this season.
  10. Re: RB Bryce Brown

That's hilarious. First you say my statement is epic failure, then you concede that he was shut down in three games this season and agree with half my statement.

Look Charles Scott is a very good back. I really wasn't trying to say he isn't a good back, He's not a guy who is so great that we have our back and no one can take the starting role from him. I actually left my computer for half an hour in the middle of my post and forgot to add in that the problem is, if Scott gets hurt, we have nobody proven to step in. RB's are extremely injury prone and Scott is the only guy who has really shown much in his career.
