Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown That is incredible, isn't it? What a class!! I especially love the AUB recruit/4:lol: CParso has been noticeably absent on this BB thread. CP thoughts, too?

Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=522233 The still-unsigned No. 1 overall college football prospect Bryce Brown plans to announce his college choice on March 16, but in the meantime the NCAA has begun investigating Brown's adviser, Brian Butler, the New York Times reports. Butler, a former rapper and cellphone call-center manager, acts as a third party for several high school football prospects, including Brown. Based in Wichita, Kan., he operates the website potentialplayers.com that gives updates on the players with whom he works. The NCAA and others became concerned with Butler when he briefly charged for updates on the website; he has since stopped charging Colby Duranleau, a lineman at Wichita Northwest High School who worked out with Butler, confirmed for the Times that he is meeting with an NCAA investigator Friday to discuss Butler.
Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown Why? I'm not saying that we get him, but we're damn sure a better fit than Oregon and K-State......and honestly, for what he claims to be looking for ( playing time, conference and national championships, high quality teammates, media prominence, production of NFL players ) we are better than Tenn and Miami. He may not go here, but we stack up better than anyone on his list so far. Now, other things may come into play......distance, his brother, this idiot Butler, etc. but looking at it from a football perspective, we win.
Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown Scott and Keiland were his hosts yesterday and Shep will host him tonight. Leaves mid-day Sunday.
Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown i don't think parso's expectation is based on school's competitive qualities, just on the likelihood he sign's with us. no arguing our strengths are superior, but other things come into play for a recruit. i think we have a better than 5% chance, personally; more like 25%. the question may become do we take him if he is going to be bringing the potential for an investigation baggage with him.
