Re: 2009 1/2 RB Bryce Brown Someone tell this guy that Ridley is reported to have injured his right ACL.. We'll be extremely young at RB in 2010 if Ridley doesn't recover. Droppings is saying that it's not a complete tear.
Re: 2009 RB Bryce Brown ANNOUNCES 03/16 @ 1 PM CST just to raise some eyebrows from the latest rivals article.. his parents didn't make the unofficial and i thought one of the reasons he was taking it was so his parents could see UT. you can infer from that they did not make the official visit. so they did not see UT together as a family? hmmmmmmm :huh:
Re: 2009 RB Bryce Brown ANNOUNCES 03/16 @ 1 PM CST Jeremy Crabtree spoke with Brown last night, and he indicated the 2 deciding factors were the relationship he has with his position coach and the strength and conditioning program. How long has Porter been recruiting him? Don't be surprised if he ends up a Tiger.
Re: 2009 RB Bryce Brown ANNOUNCES 03/16 @ 1 PM CST Before Brown announces his decision, I think it's time to put some things in perspective. Danny Mingea wrote a very good post on his NOLA.com blog about Bryce Brown's prayer and fasting regime, http://blog.nola.com/tigerrag/recruiting/ in which he questions whether this is the proper use of prayer and fasting. It's only his opinion so I'd like to offer mine as well. I agree with Mingea on all of his points. It's a very good thing to pray and fast for guidance, or to pray for certain things to happen. As a Christian, I know that God answers all prayers. After all that's what is said in the sacred scriptures which are the center of all Christian faiths. There's even a reference in the New Testament about what kind of a father would give one of his children a snake when he asks for something to eat. So rest assured all prayers are answered ...as long as they are in agreement with His will. His will has to to with us accepting the free and undeserved gift of salvation mede availabe to us through his only begotten Son. The problem comes when you start praying for mundane things like for a job or a raise...or to win the lottery, or that a loan will be approved or the stock market wiil rise...or even what football team you should play for. Mingea questions whether God is interested in what kind of toothpaste you use. The answer depends on what is in accordance with his will and with your salvation. I once knew a lady who was trying to get a car loan for a much needed vehicle and she told me in all seriousness that God wanted her to have a six cylinder because she prayed on it and that was revealed to her. She never got the car because the loan was denied. She lamented to me that her prayers weren't answered. I couldn't help but tell her that she was wrong. God answers all prayers... ... The answer she got was NO. So when we pray, we need to make sure we're praying for the right things. Make sure you're praying for food and not a snake!
Re: 2009 RB Bryce Brown ANNOUNCES 03/16 @ 1 PM CST Nice Steve. Good post. I do think we are suppose to ask Gods guidance in all our important decisions & this is surely a very important decision for Mr. Brown. Whatever happens I guess we will know Mr. Browns (and Gods?) decision sometimes today. I would be glad to get him as a tiger fan but not gonna fret if he goes elsewhere. No way God will direct him to Tennessee will he??? At any rate the Big Top Circus closes later today.
