Regional Sites: Arizona State (44-12) Cal State Fullerton (44-14 through Sat)(vs. LBSU later today) Clemson (40-19) East Carolina (42-17) Florida (39-20) FSU (42-16) Georgia Tech (35-17-1) Louisville (44-15) LSU (46-16) North Carolina (42-16) Oklahoma (41-18) Ole Miss (40-17) Rice (39-15) TCU (36-16) Texas (41-13-1) UC-Irvine (43-13) The teams in BOLD are my guess for national seeds. I think Ole Miss, Florida, and Oklahoma blew their chance this weekend. I think we may see the Clemson, Atlanta, Louisville, or Greenville Regional winner paired with the Baton Rouge Regional winner.
A great day at the ballpark! I don't know if you who were listening caught this, but one of the best moments was when a local family who recently lost a son in Iraq was introduced. The entire crowd gave them quite a standing ovation, it was very moving. GEAUX TIGERS and GEAUX USA!!!
Heard it on WWL. Sounded awesome. I was happy to hear that they took care of that family like that. That was really cool.
also looks like uc irvine might not hold on to that top nat'l seed. my money is with azz state getting the top overall seed. their overall RPI is fifth according to boyd. LSU is at 10, irvine at 18. i think those will change when they're updated tomorrow since Virginia won the ACC tourney. we shall see. still waiting for finals out west in the pac-10 and big west conferences. i think LSU should be a definite LOCK for top overall seed after the way they played in the tourney. but we know that won't happen. too much west-coast bias when it comes to baseball.
And the USA USA chant that broke out was Awesome! Singing the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America were cool too even when the music stopped and everyone continued! What an AWESOME game! Geaux Tigers!!!!:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
A very fitting and moving 7th inning stretch. A great win, can't say enough about the pitching. Mikie Mahtook- the future is bright. So consistent.
