Guys who I think LSU has a chance at getting commitments from during or a couple of weeks after camp are: Floyd Raven -- I think he gets the offer he is looking for and decides a week or so after the visit. David Jenkins -- Same as Floyd except he has the offer already. I feel very confident we land him because it looks like it is down to LSU and Texas and Texas is pretty full. Also he is from LA and a big LSU fan. Justin Williams -- We have been in it from day 1 and he seems to really like what LSU has to offer. He has to perform well though. Daren Kitchen and Ronald Martin could commit on the spot if offered. But an offer seems a little harder for these guys with others higher on the board. Montral Carter if offered but I think we hold off and see where the numbers are closer to NSD. Greg Robinson would be a pleasant surprise to end it early. Dak Prescott could be a guy to keep an eye on now that Garrett has been released. Guys we have to wait on: Greg Robinson Mickey Johnson Odell Beckham Rasco Sylve Anthony Wallace (Maybe a longshot but we could put ourselves in position)
QB Stephen Rivers will be at the camp working to earn an offer. Will be interesting to see how he does and if he does well will we offer this week or hold on for Ely 1st. Another guy to keep an eye on is FB Jacob Baxter given the news with Allen. If he is offered I expect him to commit. S Ronald Benton is another guy looking for an offer and if he gets one he is ours as well. I still think Raven and Jenkins are going to commit to LSU within the month. Raven needs the offer but I get the feeling the camp is just a formality and we are waiting to offer in person. If we somehow land a commit from LB Justin Williams (assuming he is a take and claims an offer), we will have a better shot at DE Samuel and WR Mitchell on his team who are also at the camp but don't expect either of those guys to end it yet. WR Jermaine Johnson out of Ellender is another guy to lookout for. Stock is rising and LSU seems pretty interested. LSU still seems to be interested in S TK Fleming based on reports FWIW. Judgment call for the coaches on this one. They know more than I do. Sign and place candidate WR D’haquille Williams is one of the top prospects in the state and headed to Juco for 2 years. If we sign him this year or not we are sitting pretty for him.
Bhelms, is LSU not showing interest in Jevante Watson or is it the other way around? Poor kid is just in the wrong year to be a standout at Bastrop. With their youth they're not commanding a lot of attention and I don't think people realize how talented this kid is. It does seem he's been extremely active on the camp circuit since last year.
LSU is showing interest and if we offered we would be the team to beat from what I have heard. I know he missed our 1st camp and at one time said he was coming to this current camp but haven't heard if he made it or not. Probably going to be a numbers game at CB. He camped at Ole Miss and claims offers from Bama, Arky, and Miss St.
