Heard a few rumblings about this Houston kid coming to LSU as a Preferred Walk-on. With some help I got confirmation from Kohl's website. Pretty impressive film especially the kickoffs and will some help on FGs but he has the leg to be a good one. Both Chris Sailor and Jamie Kohl rated him a 4.5 out of 5 for kickers.

He was born without a left arm.

I keep waiting for the arm tackle comments.

Seriously, though...I remember several one armed athletes who were an inspiration. One in particular that I remember was a pitcher for Jesuit high school in the mid 60's who I saw (if I remember correctly) pitch a shutout. He held his glove under the arm of his left side and would put it on in his follow through. I remember seeing him actually field a slow roller, toss the ball into the air, flip the glove off and make a throw to first.

Does anyone else remember this or his name ??

This wasn't Jim Abbott. When he came along, it reminded me of the guy from Jesuit.
