Yeah, I like DD & he answers every e mail & fills out a page on LSU news every day of the week.. some of it may be wrong but I love reading him & I know he is under a big strain with his wife being very very sick now. Three Cheers for DD!!

Right on Tom !!! A lot of how Dandy Don really is as a person shines through his posts. I have to admit that I liked his July 4th reminiscence about hiding the fish they caught from their mom. I can tell that he really loves his wife and is there for her during her illness. I wrote him once about his nephew who was ordained a priest and he took the time to write me back and I could tell that he really read my e-mail and thought about it a lot. He's probably the only person who I actually appreciate because of his misspellings. All this is apparent from the short little posts and updates he gives us each day. He's genuine...and he's really one of us !!!!

I hope that he and his wife cram as much life as they can into their last time together.

Well said, and I agree fully. I don't know him personally but found his blog way before I found TF. I still go his site daily, send him annual support, and enjoy very much his reminiscence, too. He just seems like a good ol' guy with a sincere passion for life and everything LSU, for which I can appreciate and connect.
