My bad it is a Vegas casino line and the 1st lines released on the year. Basically the 1st time ever to have lines out this early to try to get a leg up on the movement of the lines before they are released by the others.

You will likely see that line move into LSU's favor and others open up with LSU as the favorite.

Thought it was odd that lines would be out this early.

The Las Vegas Golden Nugget Sportsbook released their “Game of the Year” lines on select NCAA football games today. Here are some of the games and our thoughts about the lines:
    September 3, 2011
    @ Arlington, TX
    LSU
    Oregon -3
Interesting to see Oregon favorite over a top notch SEC defense after the National Championship game last year. The question mark is LSU’s offense.

I see all this but can't put money on the line at the Nugget so I don't get it

it must be all talk right now - a line is not a line until you can put some money on it

all things point to even teams and a great game

I don't agree about it being a problem at all. At first for me it just didn't ring true but it is a solid link with what seems to be a solid Vegas line.

But I feel Lsu will be favored against the Ducks and the Dogs as we get close to those games but bottom line - big deal. Lets have fun this summer talking about the game and I hope more Ducks come to the site to talk.

I am sorry if I pushed this to hard back on you and I know you only shared found info. !!! :thumb:

The more I read about the Ducks the more the game looks to be very even going in.

I'm not sure about LSU being favored in the game. I think the uncertainty at LSU's QB position will keep them from being favored. That's just how Vegas lines go. I feel by game time, the line will be close to even.

I think the lines are crap, because both teams won't truly know what they have until the new recruits come in for camp this summer. It won't effect the starting rotation much, but stacking the depth chart is important when you're working towards a championship season.

    Cheers!

And the "injured" player makes sure he falls on the ball so the ref can see that he's "injured". This guy won't make it in hollywood.

10 pt win? maybe, maybe not. but, a 10 pt win doesn't mean it's a blowout. we could be up by 4 late in the game, oregon driving and we get a pick 6 to seal the 10 pt win. so, don't look at this prediction as a disrespecful one, just a homer one. I'm sure there are several duck fans that think it'll be 35-10 oregon.

I haven't come across one Duck fan so far (and I live in Eugene, so they're everywhere!), that doesn't think it's going to be a close game. Most are worried about the the battle in the trenches. If Oregon's O-line doesn't figure out how to get at least a little bit of a push up front, Oregon will struggle. Chip Kelly has talked about it, and knows what the Ducks need to work on. He's seems confident they'll get there by game time. He hasn't lead us wrong yet.

    In Chip we trust! :)
