Well. That wouldn't suck. Personally - I think it's time for a five star, Top-3 QB. But until that happens.....this dude looks pretty good - I like his confidence (from his Scout profile).
He was really close to coach MaCarthy before he left and we had to make up some ground. I say it will come day to a great visit or two to really get him thinking about committing to LSU. LSU if in the running for more than a few top QBs so it will be interesting to see what happens. BTW, there is a 2012 OL prospect on his HS team who has an offer from LSU and he probably likes LSU more than Williams at this point.
I saw another update about him today on Rivals. Did anyone get a chance to see it? Something about making his final visits before committing. Is he scheduled to come visit here anytime soon?
Didn't see the article but I would be surprised if he came here. I hear the LSU staff never really pursued him hard after McCarthy left but it seems like he had some genuine interest in LSU. At one time he said he would visit so maybe he wants to come here and show the LSU staff why we need him but he should be wrapping up his commitment pretty soon so I wouldn't count on it.
This thread didn't even report that Williams committed to UNC...but... dstone12 (from North Carolina) reports this on tiger droppings: "Watch for Marquise Hill's opinion on UNC after two things: Their season performance The NCAA Investigation He may look around."
