That's great! Has any team in the nation even come close to accomplishing what LSU has done the past three years without a QB?

It's pretty amazing to think we've won so many games the last few years since the Perriloux debacle.

It sure will be nice to see the offense move the chains, score points, and not waste opportunities. Hopefully the "option" will disappear and we'll have a QB who understands how to read a defense and manage the clock.

It will also be great to see what the defense can accomplish with better field possession and less time on the field.

I'm not expecting a Can Newton performance next year but don't think we need one. Auburn needed every bit of Newton or they might have lost 4-5 games this year. We don't need a Heisman candidate...just a good quality QB who can move the chains. With the exception of QB, I think we're a much better team than Auburn or Arkansas.

Hopefully Mettenberger will be the missing piece of the puzzle. I'm still not convinced we have the right OC but time will tell.

Thanks my friend....I have been following this kid for a few months now. I think that he will beat out Lee and Jefferson next year for the position.
