Sorry I don't have much free time lately to keep updates going but LSU had a great turnout for the Bayou Picnic this weekend. Raymond is a diamond in the rough and has huge upside. Hasn't played ball since the 9th grade due to transfer rules and now is at East Jefferson but that didn't stop many top programs from drooling over his potential. Went from Lee High to Port Allen and now in New Orleans. Beat Bradley Sylve at the Austin meet in the 100 and 200. His latest times are 10.52 in the 100 and 21.50 in the 200. 6'1 170
Used to be even more impressive before Usain Bolt. I like diamonds in the rough. We have a great one in the backfield now in Tyrann Mathieu.
I'd say Mo Claiborne was a bigger diamond in the rough then TM. Came in as the 90th rated WR and was a 3 star guy and leaves with Thorpe
definitely. TM7 quickly earned some cred at camps. Not too many folks knew anything about MC unless it was their job to know......and still not too many of those guys knew.
He ran a 6.40 55 meter dash (equivalent to 60 yards) and won the race. Brazile ran 6.35 in the semis but withdrew from the finals. Speed kills.
Derrick Raymond will start early at CB, imo. I've watched a lot of video on this year's recruits, last years and a lot of the top rated recruits we missed out on and he's the best I've seen. My opinion.
