That is because we will have to target out-of-state for most of those spots and/or see some guys in camp before offering. DE Denzell Deval is the one big in-state target with an offer but also considering A&M among others. OT Edinburgh is another in-state guy who just received an offer last weekend.

I'm hearing he hasn't decided where he wants to play yet, meaning position. He's flexible enough to stand up in the middle or play DE. He's played more with his hand in the dirt, but he likes LB too. If he decides to stick at LB, it looks really good that we land him. If he opts for DE or OLB in a 3-4, I doubt he comes here. That's why A&M has him so intrigued. He's more comfortable in the down position for one thing. What Von Miller just accomplished with a similar build and playing style as a pass-rusher is not lost on him either. I think A&M leads by virtue of their style of play, BUT the kid does like LSU and understands the importance of playing for the homestate school, so we'll see. I don't expect a decision until signing day...maybe an all-star game if he wrangles an invite. It's his senior year and the defense is HIS baby this year. He'll play LB unless one of the young guys step up huge in fall camp. So the opportunity to move up the rankings ladder is HUGE.
nola.com says in addition to Edinburgh and Brazil, we've got a commitment from Jalen Mills, DB, DeSoto, TX. 6', 180 pounds 3*. BHelm, got anything on this guy?
It seemed like we have quite a few verbals for this early in the year so I looked back at last year. At this time last year we only had 11 verbals according to Scout.
bhelm with 21 spots spoken for and I would assume Hill will make 22 how many more guys can we take ? I would think we are holding a spot for Collins and who else (Kiel)?
At least 25 and maybe a gray shirt. Devall has a spot as well. Kiel if he wants in. Liggins if not. (Alford the QB MLBaseball prospect still in the mix but he likely signs) Ward is we can steal him from MS which seems to be a strong possibility throughout and even more so know with the coaching fallout. Phillips if he wants in. Their will be a wildcard: one is DL guy from TX who I can't remember his name right now. David Perkins could be another possibility. I am sure a couple of other possibilities will pop up.
