I'm going to guess basketball at Kentucky? i think i've heard that rumor before. i do know he was a great multi-sport athlete at Trafton (now Dunham, a 2A school) in Baton Rouge, he even made Sports Illustrated's Faces In the Crowd:

this is interesting. his cousin (who says I "practically call him my brother") wrote a couple articles about him at the end of last year:

in the first article, September 2, 2011, he discussed the programs he is interested in:

    and he elaborates on them:

remember Karl Malone played for the Utah Jazz from 1985–2003

his dad played for La Tech, his dad donates a lot of money to La Tech, and his dad has recently took a job as the director of basketball promotions and assistant strength and conditioning coach at La Tech

then, other than those five, commented on other some programs, including:

then in his second article, November 15, 2011 (ten days after the LSU game at Alabama), he wrote:

I played against Kinchen when he was at Trafton and I was at U High. I know several people who played with him at LSU. In my opinion, and in theirs as well, he was one of the best pure athletes to ever be at LSU. He did have freakish athletic skills. There was not a sport or athletic skill he did not master in a matter of minutes. He was incredible.
