Top player in the State of Louisiana for this year. Projects as a DE or OLB. I hope he sticks as a LB as he would be an absolute monster at that position.

He's rated the #1/#1/#2/#3 prospect in Louisiana, two of the four recruiting services had LSU commit DB Tre'Davious White rated higher, only one had undeclared DE Tim Williams rated higher

    Nationally, they rate him:
    #2 ATH - #19 on the ESPN100
    #5 ATH - #84 on the Rivals100
    #4 WDE - #99 on the 247 Top 100
    #13 DE - #125 on the Scout 150

He has offers to LSU, Bama, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Clemson, etc etc

“Louisiana State University," he said. "I've
been more at home there and I've been
more comfortable there throughout the whole
    process."
    At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Beckwith brings a
    versatile defensive end/outside linebacker
presence to the Tigers. Part of his reasoning
as to why he wanted to stay home was to try
to extend the legacy of one of the nation’s
    best defensive units.
“I see myself as a defensive end or outside
    linebacker," he added.

Had he chosen Alabama, Rivals would've elevated him 50 spots last night. Since he chose LSU, they'll likely drop him to three stars. :)

    At Alabama..."If you ain'ts cheatin...you ain'ts winnin!"

This is one of the better classes to come out of the state of La. Next years class looks to be another great one. Too much talent. This looks to be the one year we don't sign a player from Tx, the last time we didn't sign a player from the state of Tx, 1983. Remember, Tx has about 400 players every year that sign out of high school.

i hate to hear we have no recruits from texas! that indicates, to me at least, that a&m's success is affecting our efforts there.

LOL, so we can't get any kids (Of the 400) because of a&m? I so happens that better kids were from other states, look at the list and the states we have kids coming from. I've been following recruiting for a long time, last year we got 3 kids, from Tx., all played this year. Most years we get 2-3 kids, like I said, the state of La. was loaded with players, an we got a ton. Many good oos kids (From states other than Tx.) wanted to come to La. and that was great.
