I may get blasted for this but in Louisiana in minority neighborhoods LSU gets a bad rap for some reason. Its one of the main reasons we keep missing out on the high profile Louisiana guys.
Yeah, I actually think that's why Bama has a larger fan base. They appeal to all races, incomes, etc. Everyone in Tuscaloosa loves Bama but we don't seem to be that way.
People view the university itself as hostile or unwelcoming to blacks, etc. In many of my business and accounting courses at LSU i was the only black male. It never bothered me, but ignorance is ignorance, if you have an opportunity to attend LSU, you do so.
If true, this is tragically ironic. bama is just as much (if not more) of a whitey death camp as LSU. "Not the racoons, you idiot."
FYI, after the FSU visit it seems like the FSU insiders are saying LSU is still in the lead but FSU is the biggest threat.
