"In terms of overall success in a brutal conference, how do you possibly argue against anything Les Miles has done while at LSU? While he might not be doing in Baton Rouge what Nick Saban is coming up with at Tuscaloosa, going 103-29 in 11 seasons with seven ten-win campaigns, a national title and two SEC championships forms a resume as strong as any coach in college football just outside of the true gods. But is the program stale? Worse yet, is the program the new Texas?" read the rest here: http://cfn.scout.com/2/1557086.html
He thinks our defensive backs are questionable and our offensive line is shallow. Our real problems at are quarterback and defensive line.
The D line could turn out to be pretty special under the tutelage of Coach O. We are dangerously thin at linebacker and of course the QB problem is the gorilla in the room.
Agree, O just needs to light a fire, teach more than one or two moves. We have talent, you don't miss on that many players. As for the LB's, we are good for this year, without injuries.
High praise for Tre'Davious White Sonny Shipp - 8 hours ago (Photo: 247Sports) LSU has had a defensive back go in the first round in three of the last five NFL drafts, and another one could be on the horizon according to College Football 24/7. Tre’Davious White is entering his junior year with the Tigers and he is ranked the No. 2 cornerback in the country according to CFB 24/7, behind only Vernon Hargreaves III of Florida. “Since we only deal in real talk here at College Football 24/7, it's time to let you know that White might be the most talented cover corner in the college game, even though he doesn't receive much attention,” writes NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein. “When watching LSU's 2014 game against Alabama, White looked substantially better against Amari Cooper than his teammate, second-round draft pick Jalen Collins. “With elite foot quickness, long arms and NFL-caliber speed, White is adept at crowding targets both short and long. He allowed a mind-boggling completion rate of just 23.4 percent and gave up just 4.2 yards per target. His lack of physicality as a tackler in run support is his one, true knock.” White is entering his third year as a starter for the Tigers and opponents will shy away from his side of the field in 2015. He has started 24 of the 26 games he has played in with 88 tackles, two interceptions and 13 passes broken up. White is eligible to enter the 2016 NFL Draft, and the Tigers other three first round picks over the last five years all left after their junior year.
He really kinda throws you with his play, because he isnt flashy, but you will not catch many balls against him.
