I didn't know his brother Gunnar is a kicker for Alabama. Never good situation, but it's also his second offense since 2014 so who knows what will be made of it.

I've never heard it called an OWI.

DUI, DWI, and OWI. OWI isn't even relevant in most states because it usually is the lesser of the other two offenses. The government just has to prove the defendant operated a vehicle under any amount of alcohol. They don't have to show the defendant was impaired in any way.

Hard to understand under the OWI charge how he got arrested with a $1000.00 bond.

I grew up in the sticks and everyone had an ice chest and drove drinking a cold beer 24/7
.I don't recall anyone ever getting in a wreck or having a problem. Now maybe a tree gave someone hell mudriding but that was it.

I think it's because everyone had lots of practice. I'm thinking maybe we should get better at drinking and driving instead of trying to eliminate it.

Everybody has a different level of tolerance. Setting he standard at .08 is ridiculous. When you apply for a driver's license they should give you a drink and then test how you drive. If you pass give you another drink and test again.
Whatever tolerance level you reached should go on your license and that would be your personal drunk standard.
Mine would be way higher than most peoples. One day when I was a student there was a State Police RV in front of the union. You could go inside and they would test your reaction time. You had to hit a button when you saw a light go on. Then they would give you a beer and test again. My reaction time got faster with each beer. After about 5 or 6 they wouldn't give me any more so I drove home.

Do you have the same tolerance level today?
