Also....If you are going to rattle off that national statistics shouldn't count because Tulane and Hawaii are in there, I'm gonna say you can't say Jennings is good because he was decent against Texas A&M's shitty defense. So was Jordan Jefferson. So was every quarterback that played against them. That's like bragging you fucked the town whore.

LSU is a running team, but LSU will never win another championship unless they get more out of the quarterback position. You can run 75 percent all you want but at some point you are going to have to play a team where that shit just ain't gonna cut it.

I'm not even clamoring for 300 yards and 3 TD's a game. Fuck the bar has been set so damn low that I'd gladly take 200 yards a game with a 59 percent completion percentage and 1 TD a game.

Also, Arkansas shut Jennings out. Ouch. They hadn't won an SEC game in 17 straight and they beat us LSU like an NFL player's wife.

LSU has no passing game. Since 2005 the only time LSU's passing game has been effective has been (and this may come as a shock to you) when LSU puts a pocket passer in the game. Russell, Flynn, Mettenberger, Lee. All more effective than JJ, Jennings, and Harris, with the exception of Lee and Jefferson who had eerily similar stats.

I just want to see LSU be able to depend on the passing game when it's needed. That isn't too much to ask for is it? And in my opinion, Jennings, Harris, Franks, and every other "dual threat" qb we stick back there are going to fail in the passing game, just like their "dual threat" predecessors did.

However looking back at QB recruiting around the country the past 15 years it appears that around 95% of the pro style qb's don't pan out and about 85% of the dual threat QB's don't pan out. QB recruiting is probably the most hit & miss of the skill positions. A boatload of highly ranked qb's didn't do squat in cfb. It almost seems like the lower tier schools have an advantage by getting the leftovers, who appear to be better QB's down the road.

Take Gunner Kiel for example at Cincinnati....had a better season than he did in the bowl game. Why? Because a lot of his regular season games were vs the likes of Tulane, Toledo, Miami-OH, Memphis, SMU, Connecticut, Temple, Houston, etc. Who did he play in the bowl game where he completed only 50% of his passes and had 2 INTs? Nah, looking at the NFL roster's tells me that the powerhouses miss on tons of qb's. Just as the NFL misses on many QB's, it the hardest position in sports to evaluate IMO.
