For two years in a row Alabama's opponents have been penalized fewer times than any other team in the NCAA. Two years in a row. And before that? It remains practically the same.

Opponent Penalties:
2017: Bama 130th out of 130 teams.
2016: Bama 128th out of 128 teams.
2015: Bama 102nd out of 128 teams.
2014: Bama 123rd out of 128 teams.
2013: Bama 89th out of 128 teams.
2012: Bama 108th out of 124 teams.
2011: Bama 117th out of 120 teams.
2010: Bama 95th out of 120 teams.

That's just wrong. Simply wrong. He literally just made it up. Take the game against Clemson, look at the play by play, and you'll see how far off base the comment was.

Both of those are subjective calls based on the call itself. Yet, you want more to go against Bama. That's an opinion that's far from objective. That said, if the actual numbers reflect fewer penalties going against Bama's opponents versus those that are called against the Tide those subjective calls are going the opponents way.

This is just like the old stand-by "Bama never gets called for holding" but when you look at the penalties called you see that's not the case.
