  2. I knew a woman that named her little boy "Moonie". I predicted that he would adopt a nickname by the second week of first grade and refuse to answer to anything else. It actually took about a month before he became "Bud".

    Another Hippie chick in the 70's named her boy "Little Man". Now he goes by the name of "Man".

  3. Totally unrelated, but this reminds me of things in Vacherie, where I have in-laws. Everyone in Vacherie has a nickname. My brother-in-law's best friend is nicknamed "Fleabag." They call him "Flea" for short. Yes, his nickname has a nickname.
