2020 LSU Baseball Season

Hal Hughes and are you ready.....

Eric Walker hit the transfer portal.

And without even playing a game, LSU improves on the season that barely was.

 

I had hopes for Walker to regain his freshman form. I had no hopes for Hughes.

 

Can’t throw mid 80s with poor command and expect to be given many chances.

That injury really set him back.

 

Well, Hal Hughes is gone. Transferring to Rice

How will we replace that production

 

Bring up a shortstop from Little League. Maybe there's a promising T Ball player somewhere.

 

Just damn.

 

my son just had his final season of rec ball cancelled. so he's available.

 

If he can hit a T Ball he can hit SEC pitchers better than Hughes.

 

not kidding, this dude has an uncanny ability to hit the ball DIRECTLY AT people.

dude very rarely strikes out. makes good contact. But i don't think he can run and hand the ball to infielders more directly than he's been hitting it. Half the time the opposing SS doesn't even have to move.
I mean we're talking 3-4 straight years of this too. Unfreaking believable.

 

Have you tried changing his stance? Telling him to move up or down in the batter's box. He is either swinging to late or too early.
