Nobody said the teams effort or the result sucked. The offense did suck though and that's not debatable. Actually to be fair, the running game was very good and the passing game sucked. Don't get you panties knotted, it's not a new development. It's been thus way for a while.
Exactly. When you're defense dominates and you work with short fields all night, you're total offensive numbers are not going to look like Oregon's. Furthermore, when you jump all over an inferior opponent and the game is over at half time, you're not going to open up you're entire playbook. They are going to run clock, put the backups in, and go home.
Well, we will need to throw it a little better against Ole Miss next week. They did get their tails kicked today, but they will have something to prove next Saturday. I hope that by saying I expected better numbers against the likes of NLU doesn't make me a negatiger.
Summary: The defense and special teams were superb. The offense struggled. Now the offense did a much better job of taking advantage of scoring opportunities. We did have trouble executing and moving the ball, though.
I used to joke that the negatigers not being happy unless we won the game 50-0. Turns out, EVEN THAT is not enough to satisfy them. What miserable fans you all must be.
this. we kept getting the ball in great field position. i guess our d sucks for not giving our o a chance to get a lot of yards. jeezus f'ing christ!:rolleye33:
