NEW ALBANY, Ind. Gene Murphy, a former LSU basketball and baseball letterman, died on Tuesday at the age of 82. Nicknamed Spider, Murphy played basketball from 1948-51 and lettered in baseball in 1948, 49 and 51. LSU Hall of Famer Harry Rabenhorst was his coach in both sports. Link To Original Article
