    It's a different play we're referring to.

Id like to start by saying its nearly impossible to project NFL success from college players but here goes my feable attempt to analyze the current LSU players in the 2008 NFL draft:

Dorsey: interior linemen in the NFL these days can be a little tricky to project because a stud DT in a 3-4 may not fit into a teams plans that runs a 4-3. So Dorsey's draft day status may depend on who is drafting but either way he will be a top 15 pick, and hopefully top 10.

Jackson: I think Jackson will be one of those "late risers" after the combines and he is able to work out for teams because he has prototypical size and if his speed, which is already impressive can imoprove then I think he will have a great shot at a top 15 pick.

Doucet: Now everybody knows the big names that have been top targets, but Doucet has been playing with two first round picks for three seasons. What will set Doucet apart is his ability to move with the ball after the catch, but as with all receivers his draft day success will depend on his speed at the combines. With that said Early has been a consistent player in his first three seasons, and I anticipate a big year and Early knows what it takes to make it to the NFL and he will put in the work necessary to be a first rounder.

Beckwith: I think he has the highest prospects of being a first rounder out of the remaining Tigers, if he can stay healthy then his sideline to sideline speed will make him a very attractive option on draft day.

Arnold: I think it would take a special year to make it into the first round because he will probably be limited to OG in the NFL, but its possible look at Grubbs from AU. Either way he will be a taken in the mid 2 at the latest.

Highsmith: great college LB and he will be drafted on the first day, but I dont think he has the elite size/speed combo to make it into the first round as an OLB.

Jackson: I think he will be a first day draft pick but not first rounder, it would take a special effort this season and an suprising 40 at the combines to get his name into the first round.

Zenon: what it would take for Jackson to make it into the first round is probably the samething that will be necessary for Zenon to make it into the second or third rounds.

Flynn: I just dont know that he will have the arm strength to be a first day pick but with a strong season he can be a solid second day selection.

Steltz: At the worst he can be a solid special teams contributor in the NFL and that will allow him to be a second day selection.

Broussard: Every team needs a battering ram for goalline situations and Broussard can be that type of player but his role will be limited in the NFL and he will be a secnond day selection at best.

Johnson: I have read some opinions that Herman could vault into a high draft pick if he plays at a high level, but to me that reasoning applies to a ton of players but with big Herms size I can see why he is such a prospect. But in my opinion, Herm needs the practice and coaching for two more years before making the jump.

He would've been the first DT taken last year, and will be this coming year. Is that enough for a top 10 pick? I don't think so. He's a bit undersized for an NFL DT. I see him going in the 15-20 range.

I think he'll come out early & be our highest draft pick next year. He didn't get a lot of recognition last year, but he was incredibly dominant. He's got the ideal size & athleticism for an NFL DE. Someone here, I think it was Ch0snone, said that Tyson is already better than Mario Williams and he went first overall. I'd have to agree with that.

Doucet's speed won't be amazing, but it will be good. He's a bit short though. He's a hell of an athlete, but he'll need improvement this year to be a first round pick. He jumps too often for balls that he doesn't need to, and he doesn't catch with his hands all the time. I expect a big year and some improvement from him, and think he'll go late in the first round.

Highsmith has been getting all the preseason attention, and I don't understand it. Beckwith is a future first rounder, but he could probably benefit a lot by coming back for his Sr year. I expect he will.

He'll have to stay injury-free, and even then it's tough for me to see him going in the first round because he's not very versatile. With a big year, he could be a late first rounder.

I think Chevis is the hardest prospect to figure out coming from LSU next year right now. Some people think he's a first rounder, some people think 5th. I expect 2nd/3rd round.

I think the lack of game film to analyze will hurt him more than his arm strength. His arm strength isn't strong enough to boost his stock, but I don't think it will really hurt it either.
