we chose to take ball first because we wanted to get the offense going early, every article about the LSU/Florida game said a key for the tigers would be to deliver the knockout punch by scoring early and often...we knew that our defense was reliable, we just needed to put our offense out there to see how they would perform and build some confidence.. they knew if they put the offense out there and got them going early , it would have been a blow out like it was supposed to,,, unfortunatly for us the offense never got going
I see, I didn't know that . Thanks for responding nicely Thibodaux. As u know, going into next week I personnally have the opposite approach because how many teams drive very far on thier first drive against us. I think field position is very important this week, we need positives to get the offense going whether its a turnover or field position.
