Never been a year like it. Actually NINE members of this Tiger team have been listed as All-Americans and not all of the teams are out yet. So far:

    First-team All Americans
DL Chad Lavalais -- AP, FWAA, TSN, CNNSI, Walter Camp, ESPN
OL Steven Peterman -- football.com, TSN, CNNSI, ESPN
PR Skyler Green -- CNNSI, ESPN
    DB Corey Webster -- AFCA

    More All Americans
DB Corey Webster -- AP (2nd team), CNNSI (2nd team)
OL Ben Wilkerson -- AP (2nd team), football.com (3rd team)
OL Stephen Peterman -- AP (2nd team)
PR Skyler Green -- AP (3rd team)
WR Michael Clayton -- AP (3rd team)

    Academic All Americans
    OL Rodney Reed (1st team)
    QB Matt Mauck (2nd team)

    Freshman All Americans
    DB Laron Landry (first team)

    not to mention:

    National Coach of the Year
    Nick Saban -- AP, CNNSI

And . . . Defensive Player of the Year candidate Chad Lavalais was one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy.

When all of the national, conference, and state honors are awarded, this will be the most-honored Tiger team in history.

That is amazing, to have so many players named is very good for the program. What a year.

Chad Lavalais has been named to the Walter Camp All-American Team. I have added it to the first post listing.

Real shame to put Green as a 3rd teamer ...

He leads the nation, and led the nation all year ... from the first game.

Gee, stick him at #3 cuz he's an underclassman.

More lack of respect ... luvvit ... luvvit ... gimmee mo' uvvit

I'd like to see him rip a couple returns for 6.
