Having tOSU ranked up there every year is a given in the Big Ten... something the rest of us just live with!!!
It's not so much that they have (seemingly) a lot of holes on defense... to me it's more that they play at Texas, home to PSU, then at Iowa... all in September. They could easily have two losses early... if they survive those three games, then kudos to the "media experts".
Along with Iowa, I think Penn State and Michigan State will both be better than forecasted. MSU will be as good as anyone in the country on offense and they've made some steps to improve their defense. They are a true darkhorse. Thankfully, we don't play either PSU or MSU this year.
Wisconsin... well, I think the Wissies will take a step back this year. Their offense is in disarray and they have had some off field problems. We'll see.
As I said on another thread, Iowa should be very good this year... this is an improved team in all areas. People are making a big deal over the loss of Greenway and Hodge, but we've got the guys to make an immediate impact at linebacker. On offense, we will be very hard to stop... with the best OL in the conference, the Big Ten's leading rusher in Albert Young, and Tate, now with more time to look around... and we have a favorable early schedule with both Iowa State (it's their bowl game) and tOSU at home.

This is Tate's senior year... he never red-shirted.

When you don't have a "number" for the date, you go back in time or find something about the number that adds interest... like you've beaten Ole Miss 98 times!!!
We don't have a 98 either this year... so someone went back and posted:

"98 Larry Blue, DE, who in 1993 had three sacks against Minnesota, securing our trip to the inaugural Alamo Bowl game in San Antonio."

    Stuff like that....
