You and I both know that is b.s. So many people are blinded by the need to be right that Les is a bad coach... There is not a Team of fan base outside of Alabama that would not kill to have what we have... I am not saying I am happy with the way the team looks. But the fire les miles crowd is back... Which I find absurd.. Let me ask you guys a serious question the ones who think miles is the worst coach in college football. Let say some of you got your wish. Who would LSU hire that is better than miles.... Seriously as yourself that question. A real option not bill belicheck withi Saban as DC
I don't know who is saying fire Miles. It's not that black and white, criticism of Miles doesn't mean abandon ship and start all over, quite the contrary.
Dire situation????? Seriously????? We may lose some games this year that I get but 5-0 and a top 25 team is not a dire situation. Arkansas is a dire situation and a text book example of what happens when you fire a winning coach.. Miami is a dire situation..LSU is simply a college football program who has won 18 of 19 some in less than stellar fashion agreed...
Also I agree miles is not absent of criticism I really agree with that he has not had his finest hours.. But there are some not you per se that really thinks firing miles is the best route and it is his fault Mett hasn't panned out or forget our opponents also have fans and coaches and players and facilities.. I read a post last night who said he would trade for towsons coach straight up.... That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard...
Why not let him carry it more? He averages something like 7 yards a carry over his career. He can't take the pounding of an SEC feature back . . . But I'd let him have it four or five times a game if he keeps running like that.
I agree with that as well. I think anyone who wants Miles fired is your typical bandwagon fan that can't see the big picture and probably wasn't around in the 90's. he has faults but he is an excellent head coach, I just think he needs an offensive intervention.
I'm just waiting for the day CLM starts being the CEO and not the Shadow-OC. Its hard to argue that he is not the only constant with an unbalanced offense over the years. He is a fantastic recruiter and leader for these young men, but his regressing conservative nature does not bode well for the future. Someone made the notable comment that its gonna get harder and harder to recruit top offensive talent if all they see/hear is poor production, in-state loyalty not withstanding.
I agree and I think it all stems back to 08 and him doing everything he can to avoid that situation. So if the qb is struggling he goes completely conservative, punts, kicks field goals and plays defense. Only prob is this year we aren't making field goals, and our defense isn't as good as last years was at this point.
