In other words, when you don't win the West...claim you do to make yourself feel better :hihi::hihi::hihi:
As I stated on numerous occasions, I think what is settled on the field should take precedence. Personally, I wouldn't claim a championship in 2001. We didn't beat LSU. As far as I care, end of story. Here is where my problem lies. The SEC recognizes Auburn as Co-Champ. But you deny Auburn's claim because it doesn't fit with what you believe to be equitable. (And I agree on this premise). When Auburn, however, claims a NC because it believes the process to be flawed, you chastise Auburn. SabanFan said "There is no disputing that USC was the Associated Press Champion. " So why is there dispute when Auburn claims other NC that were given out. I don't think Auburn ever claimed the BCS title. I know I won't change anyone's position. If we were face to face and I had enough Bourbon, I might have a chance. Probably not, but I might have a shot. So consider me pollyanna, maybe someday, this can all be settled on a field of play. I still hope you beat Fl. and Tenn., and I hope the champion of the SEC west is settled on the field in Baton Rouge between Auburn and LSU. An aside, how did you get the girls from Plaquemine to develop that dialect which had to come straight from heaven?
It's still "mythical." Until it is settled on the field, it's left up to the reporters/voters. I'm surprised you bring the BCS in as being credible in the terms of mythical. I simply can't follow that reasoning. Thanks for the read gentleman. It's been fun...but not enlightening. S.N.A.S.S.
Bull****. It was settled on the field when LSU whipped Oklahoma's ass. Ain't nothing mythical about it. Now that old dead guy, Bear what's his name. That's mythical.
