A kinder, gentler NCAA?

    I won't hold my breath, but this kid has a compelling story. The NCAA will screw this one up and likely blow another opportunity to do their job of protecting the best interests of student athletes. I still can't help but think that Mario Stevenson really got hosed...

    So how does the OU guy get a medical redshirt if he sat out only one season for beating his friend to a pulp?

    So I guess the moral of this story is don't really hurt yourself physically. But if you do, get drunk and beat the crap out of someone so you have something to fall back to get a medical redshirt. Unf***ing believable!!!:mad:

    This was posted a while ago. It's disgusting to reward someone for this kind of behavior, and not help a good kid in good standing who is doing all the right things. Sad to say, but it probably helps if you play for a traditional power.
