Attention: Joe Alleva, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics I have always had the opinion it is better to recruit a 3 star player who has been a lifelong fan of Tiger Football than a 5 star player from out of state who is only looking for a door to the NFL. Therefore, IMHO, Coach O is a better choice for Head Football Coach than any outsider I have seen mentioned as a candidate. IMHO, he exceeds the "guidelines in selecting our head coach" listed in your recent letter. Tom Herman has not coached "Big Boy" football. We have been the Jimbo Fisher route before. Several college level football coaches have written their resumes on the back of spectacular quarterbacks. Once these exceptional athletes have gone, little is left to write about. IMHO, Jimbo Fisher is one of these coaches. I think Jimbo Fisher is, at best, an average coach. In fact, if you decide to hire Jimbo Fisher, I will be done with LSU football. IMHO, letting Coach O leave LSU would be a terrible mistake. Thank you for your time,

To be fair to Herman, he did just destroy the #5 team in the country with average to above average talent. His team came to play.
I'm rooting for Oeaux but if you think Jimbo is just "average" you are severely delusional. When you say we have "gone the Jimbo route" before are you talking about Curly "nyuck, nyuck" Hallman? Mike Archer? Gerry DiNardo? Jimbo didn't build his reputation on the backs of great quarterbacks. He developed the great quarterbacks. Even Crablegs Winston with all the natural talent he had wouldn't be where he is at without Jumbo's tutelage. So, Joe Alleva, pick whichever coach you want between Oeaux and Jimbeaux and I'll be happy that you have finally made a good hire at something. It's not all black and white. I think all 3 can be very successful here. Just a matter of preference. I got jimbo and Herman O next. I'm pissed Les pissed this season away. He really fucked us. Shoulda been a special exit for these seniors esp the ones who could have gone pro. But it is Sr day. Hopefully they go out on a high note.
