Second or third tier level talent out of Texas and Oklahoma can't win against a team like OH St. who gets top level talent each and every year. I remember hearing the same discussions 2 yrs ago with a similar Big 10 team prior to the Sugar Bowl. 47 pts later LSU became Sugar Bowl winners and most of the 34 they scored was in mop up time against backups. It wasn't even close.
I think you have legit points FlaHawk. There's no telling how the LSU players will respond to Saban coaching his last game. I think a close game will happen. Bowl games are funny animals anyway. Emotion and teams coming out flat play a big role. I don't think our D will totally shut you down b/c our O has given the ball away several times in horrible field position. Speaking of, field position and mistakes could decide the game. Maybe inconsitent kicking may finally hurt us. hopefully they'll put jackson and not gaudet on the field when it's time to add 3.
