Comments on the status of the field:

Why is the field brown instead of green? Anybody who knows about turf/grass management have any idea?

As for the markings on the field, the "LSU" in each endzone (gold on one side, purple on the other), and the new logo at mid-field... anybody know if those are going to be permanent changes?

It looks like the endzone and mid-field markings were the same then... the only difference being that the field was green during the Spring Game, not brown.

Also, that new mid-field logo is the exact same logo on the 2007 National Championship Coke bottles, which you can see here: http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?t=70792

It was. But I believe it was rotated 90 degrees in front of the tents.

 

the logo was on the filed for the spring game, it just aint faded yet. as for the brown grass, i dunno. it's not like BR is in a drought.
