Well, I came a across a discussion between some turf/grass management nerds, and although they didn't agree on what exact grass/sod/drainage/etc. issue LSU is addressing with our football field, they did all agree that LSU has treated the field with a chemical to kill all the grass with the goal of addressing some grass/sod/drainage/etc. issue. Basically, they all agreed that LSU will have one of the best grass fields in the nation next season (they also agreed that the grass field we had last year was the best we ever had at LSU so far).
