Mr. Peabody is a very unhappy Sooner right now.

I can only find solace in the fact they we got to play in the national championship and that we did finish with a great record of 12-1.

I'm glad football season is over for now.

Auburn should have been there tonight playing USC not us.

the fact you had your worst game tonight diminishes nothing of your team's successful regular season and conference championship.

it means you had a bad night against a good team.

AU deserved to be there as well as Utah regardless what hype is spewed.

excellent run the last 5 years with a NC and 3 appearances. no other team more successful than that. UF had spurrier 10 years and won one.

USC doesn't count last year because their entire team was gay as is their coach.

stoops just needs a new approach. still a great coach.

p.s. has football season started yet?

Yes. One thing I noticed that LSU used to do years ago under DiNardo........
give up. OU gave up after getting down 21-7. Saban got that mindset out of the players when he arrived. The prime example was the Florida game this year. Had DiNardo coached that game Florida would have killed us. We spotted them 14 points right off the bat and it was like 'who cares' on the sidelines and that was AT FLORIDA! They actually came back harder.

I'm sure last years CCG and Sugar Bowl haunted them and they just didn't have the will to fight back like they actually did in the Sugar Bowl. Stoops is going to have to work on the psychology of his players now.

    Agreed.

Our players were anything but mentally tough Tuesday night.

Surprising though because we were down 14 or 17 points to aTm in the first half after 2 trick plays and didn't lose our composure. We fought back and won.

    Weird.

I guess it was just meant to be.

    Hmmm...

No offense Mr P, not trying to flame you, but ... isn't your chest-thumping pregame bravado similar to the Les Miles "Let 'er rip" pregame interview that OU fans get such a chuckle out of (in light of the subsequent azz whoopin' that took place?

You are referring to his post game not pre game speech about "I'll take this team and play play any sucka in the country speech."

Funny, but he lost every single game after that speech.

Yeah, it might be similar. I was optimistic and hopefull for a very good reason. However, we got our asses kicked bad. USC could have scored 70.

As a matter of fact, they just scored again. :hihi:
