If your acadmics are so high, it is obivious that YOU DID NOT Get in either.

YOUR TEAM DOES NOT BELONG ON THE SAME FIELD AS THE OTHER TEAMS THAT GET TO PLAY IN THE BCS BOWLS!

AND THOSE 2 Statements you just made HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON!!

ND does not get BCS bowls by the number of tickets they promise to sell, ND gets BCS bowls because they feel ENTITLED to be there because they are ND!

THE TALENT AND THE TEAM THAT YOU HAVE PUT ON THE FIELD HAS SHOWN THIS YEAR ONLY THAT WHEN PLAYING AGAINST TEAMS IN BCS BOWLS YOU CANT WIN!!!!!!!!

Tell your Presidents to GROW A SET OF BALLS, and join a damn confrence. THAT way you can have an automatic bid into the Music City Bowl every year and stop wasting ever other teams time.

Your program USE to belong on the same field as the USC, Mich, LSU, Florida, Auburn, tOSU of the world, NOT ANYMORE!!!

Hell I bet even Boise St would have kicked y'alls ass in a bowl game.

ND fans or worse than Bama fans, LET THE PAST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Exactly.

The problem with the BCS system is that the most deserving teams can't make it in to the games. LSU has to prove that it can be as lucrative as other schools to just be into consideration. That's why we have to prove we can sell tickets to have any shot at the rose bowl. You know what should be enough to get us a BCS game? Our record, our rank, and video of us playing.

ND gets them because of the name and the dollar signs that come with it. You deserve a BCS game financially but not football wise.

Your analogy is competely innapropriate. I'll offer one similar.

A bottom of the barrell finance grad gets a job at one of the big 4, because the company knows if they hire him, his rich father will give them a million dollar contract. The top of his class finance grad knowing this tries to prove if he is hired instead, he'll earn an extra million for the company.

Are you saying those are the same thing?

Join a conference and then we'll admit a 10-2 ND deserves a BCS bid.

Until then, you won't get anything from us.

The fact is, ND is stuck in the 60s, and at this rate they aren't ever going to come out of it.

    Wasting your time with bitterD

Irish fans are the most delusional in the country. The hear no evil approach is what's going to bury them eventually and the digging has already started.

Their board blows and bitterD is one of the most obnoxious posters over there.

I'd rather converse with LSU fans anyday. I like the rivalry with the irish since it has true history and most of the fans I've met in South Bend have been great. But you know you have them on the ropes when CDub tries to resurrect the ghosts of the past to beat SC. 4th and 9 baby.

    Geaux Tigers.

You guys have "wronged" this man by talking trash about Notre Dame FB. And you wonder why none of them even bother to post here. You guys are absolutely amazing.

NOTRE DAME BELONGED IN THE SUPERDOME.

When the game was tied 14-14 after that pick and easy ND TD, there was a pall of deathly "silence" in the crowd. Did anyone then think that ND didn't belong in the game.

JR did his two-minute magic & the # 2 LSU Defense shut out ND in the second half, the final 41-14. However, don't think for a minute that Notre Dame didn't belong in the Superdome. They did! They belonged there two weeks before the game and they should have been playing Troy in the New Orleans Bowl.

smacking the opponent for your victory at their house... on the strength of an illegal play... is freaking ludicrous. that would be like deceks coming over here and crowing about how david irons was awesome for holding brandon lafell's arms by his side.

Let me point out a few things

First of all, there was nothing illegal about 4th and 9. Every college football fan in America knows what that is and that's a thing of beauty.

Secondly, I'm guessing you're referring to the Bush Push. I'll take it every time. Even Charlie Weiss has said that he would have expected his players to do the same thing. The win was not predicated on that one play, it simply ended on that play. If not for 4th and 9, we wouldn't be having the conversation.

If you look back over the wins accumulated by the irish against SC, you'll find plenty of instances of "the luck of the irish", simply translated, poor officiating, lucky calls, etc. That's football and it's pathetic to whine about it. Oklahoma gets the "right to whine" award for this year. Time to move on.

    Anyway, Geaux Tigers.

Well the BCS system didn't automatically give ND their bowl berth. The Sugar Bowl elected to pick them. Blame the Sugar Bowl for being such idiots for not picking a better team to go up against a vaunted LSU team.

I would have loved to see WVU play us to see what their offense could have done. Even VTech would have been better competition. Notre Dame was barely a top 25 team. Barely.

Notre Dame's offense was a mirage, playing well only against horrible defenses, which Notre Dame had on their schedule for much of the year.

Against Michigan and USC, the ND offense looked no better than Boston College.

LSU vs. Louisville would have been a more competitive game. LSU vs. SC would have been the dream matchup with LSU vs. Michigan close behind. I would have enjoyed a game with the Longhorns as well. Nothing better than knocking the snot out of a bunch of arrogant Texans.
