I am excited about the Behind the scenes feature on ESPN. But I do have a bone to pick with that Mr. Mcbride. The whole premise for that article is that LSU is covered unfairly by the national media, or not covered at all, and he thinks that is unfair. He also says that all Tiger fans know this. Well I couldn't dissagree more, sure I wish LSU got more national attention, but they get as much atteniton as any other team besides Notre Damn(National School, great tradition) and the teams at the top of the polls. I'll even admit that I have a biased slant towords LSU, but the author of that article has an extreme bias. I don't know what he is basing this on, but LSU gets lots of national television games, they get mentions on SC and Gameday, and in National Magazines. Do you want the national media to extensivly cover LSU vs Tulane or Utah State? I think you need to step back and really think about it, and you'll find that they get as much attention as any other team in a similar situation as them.

I've got a dilemma. I want to watch this special coverage next week on ESPN, but I will be in Baton Rouge all day for the Florida game. Sure, I could tape it on my VCR, but I must tape the Florida game on CBS so I can watch us beat those Gators over and over. What to do?

    Good Points J Oats

By the way, I am Terry McBride.

I do agree with you about the Televised games, but that is not what the article was about. It was about eposure and respect. The Tigers are hosed when it comes to that. Just look at the line for the Tennessee game and it is obvious.

You make some good points, and you are right, I do have a Bias. I am not national media. I cover the Tigers, and that is all.

But I do appreciate your comments. As a member of the media, you just have to except the fact that not everyone will like, or agree with every article you write.

    Thanks,
    Terry McBride

I may be wrong, but I don't think that the media has anything to do with the line. The line is made originally by sportsbooks in Las Vegas, then it can change according to how the betting is going, just like horse races. I don't think that the boys in Vegas would be putting their money behind the opinions/biases of the media.

    This is what you do

Most VCR's now a day's have VCR plus, or something like that, Gameday is on in the a.m. and Florida is on in the early afternoon. Tape Both. If you can't, tape gameday, cause you will hear and see a lot of the Florida Game on highlights and the like
