    I agree with your statement here, politicans have no moral backbone.
    but the only point i was making is that a corporation in the eyes of the law is beholden to the same standards as a person.

    Exactly and well said @el005639 . Problem is today there is too much cronyism in both politics and business, particularly the financial sector. They scratch each other’s backs and no one.....or at least only a few pay any price for their mistakes or misdeeds. We are getting into an era that isn’t the capitalism of Smith, Hayek and others but a perversion of it. Of course I’ll be blasted for it but Trump is one example of the perversion as are the Clintons and other politicians who leave government service wealthy beyond the dreams of Midas.

    corporations exist to make money for their stockholders. that's who they are accountable to...as they should be
