I agree. "The Judge" is loaded and ready, about 1/2 arms length from my bed. As long as the super thin cylinder walls don't blow, I feel pretty good about my chances. Those in fantasy world, protecting their domain with high power rife, AR or not, hope you have no neighbors.
Winston I do agree with shotgun being best choice for home defense but I want one with at least 8 rounds.
You obviously know nothing about what you are talking about. More rounds equal advantage regardless of rifle/shotgun. The crux of your argument is fewer rounds which flies in the face of logic. Your argument is weak and speaks volumes about your ignorance and experience.
And semi-auto, which logically is the next thing to ban as soon as the next nutjob uses one of those after all the rifles magically disappear.
OMG thanks for the education. You’re the most brilliant mind since Einstein......not. A shotgun actually provides more weight on target than anything in the restricted space of your home. How many pellets, each equivalent to a 32 caliber is in a shell??? Fire down a hall or at a door or window and you cover it with on shot. In one 5 or 8 shell you’ll put out more weight of shot more effectively than an AK. AKs are for open area longer range mass fire situations. Go to a shooting range and try a target at 25’ with both. See which gun destroys the target quicker and has more left to engage a second target.
One more thing @furduknfish shoot you AK in the house and see how many rounds go through the walls and kill your wife and children. Congratulations you may put the bad guy down but you’ve likely killed or wounded your family too.
