I called it a canon because it is. Let's look at the worst case scenario, you are sound asleep it's 3am and someone is in your house. You pull that big bastard out and fire and hope like hell you hit the intruder. Why? Because you are now blind for about 20 seconds at least. The good news is he probably is as well but for not as long. Huge muzzle flash from that thing which is why I said close one eye. Or like tiga said, you can put .38's in it and it works just fine, less of a flash and not as much lead but still enough to put a thug down.
I have a 357 also. I have shot 38s out if it. I'm not a fan, the round tumbles out and throws the accuracy off a few inches at 20'. In my opinion you are better off with a 357 round' but Shane is correct close one eye.
IMHO a pump action shotgun is about the best home defense weapon. When your life is on the line, and it better be when you pull the trigger, it is helpful to not have to worry a lot about precise aim. Oh yeah, open choke is a must!
False. The over whelming majority of mass shootings, 3 or more, are conducted with handguns. But, CNN doesn't cover those because they occur in Chicago or New Orleans etc.
What people are unknowingly advocating is a transition from AR-15 mass shootings to shotguns. Sure the death toll might go down, but unloading a 12-gauge in a class room, two pumps and 90% of the class is hit.
