    Ridiculous

The whole PC thing is ridiculous. I don't care what color or nationality the next LSU coach, only that he's a winner. But, you're right, to satisfy the PC gods, LSU should interview minorities. Good call on Rodriguez and Chow, they are both serious candidates and I assume qualify. As to black coaches, I certainly think Robiskie should be interviewed, but for some reason he just strikes me as sort of "blah," doesn't seem too enthusiastic about anything. Actually, if Tyrone Willingham were still available, he'd probably be at or near the top of my list. The guy at UCLA doesn't impress me. Romeo Crennel is worth a look-see. :lsug: :champs:

    all political in South Carolina

Don't think for a minute that the protests about hiring Spurrier at USC had anything to do with the "ole ball coach". It has everything to do with the state government and the whole Confederate flag issue. It's all political. You didn't hear anyone bemoaning UF when they hired Urban Meyer. And heck, one of the top black assistant coaches whose name has been bantered around for years is Charlie Strong, and he was on UF's staff.

Terry Robiskie has been a respectable coach in the NFL for 23 years without a shot at a head coaching spot. I don't know that he's ever been offered one but I doubt he would have turned it down.

In the current climate of the pressure to hire minority coaches, I don't think Robiskie will be without a head coaching job for long. :lsug: should snatch him up.

The race angle should only help recruiting and I really like having a former :eek:ldskule: at the helm.

    Skip, hire Robiskie.

There must be a reason other than race if he has been an asst. coach for more than 20 years and has not been considered seriously for a head coaching job.
