Too bad for Va. Tech. If that SEC official doesnt call that off. pass interference, they win the game. Damn I hate USC.
I would just caution everyone not to get too down on SC. Va Tech is a very well coached team and they have a lot more talent than everyone gives them credit for IMO. Those DB's were hitting like a truck. Eric Green looked like Donovan Darius out there, and Fuller was smacking guys around too. SC will have troubles early in the year while their young tackles and receivers get acclimated, but by mid season they should be hitting on all cylinders. Patterson is a beasy inside and White has more leg drive than I've seen from a running back in a long time. Their problem IMO will be the corners and the LB's. Va Tech didn't have anyone to exploit those guys and they still managed to put up a ton of yards through the air. Usc can be scored upon, that will be their downfall eventually.
they had 2 guys who played physical on va techs d. Im not sure what game you saw but the gaping holes on both d's and lack of physicality was laughable. well coached? yeah repeat of the same penalty over and over. bush was the playmaker as i figured before it started. besides the ref, he was the biggest factor.
That has to be the most hilarious signature I have ever seen.
Peabody - As much as I cannot stand the chants of how many championships you guys have or how much your side complained about our fans, I am pulling for you guys this year. I am just waiting until someone embarrases USC, and if that is you or us in the Orange Bowl then so be it. I have a feeling based on yesterdays game that USC does not make it this year. Even last year when it was OU getting the hype of the "greatest team ever" it did not annoy me nearly as much as the boys of troy. A toast, to USC getting their ass whipped this year
